These are questions we hear everyday.  If you don't find the answer you're looking for below, feel free to drop us a line.  There's no charge for a basic consultation and no such thing as a dumb question.  Actually, there LOTS of dumb questions but ask them anyway.

• How do I start?

  You already did! (You're reading this aren't you?)  Just give us a call and tell us about your project.  Three things to consider figuring out before you call would be runtime of your final project (ie: “I wanna make a 3 minute video”), your budget and any deadlines you need to make. If you'd prefer skip to the contact page and email us.  We'd be happy to discuss it and give you a quote.

• What do I need to provide you?

  That depends on you.  If you know what you want to produce but have no materials, then just your idea will do.  We can take it from there.  If you've already got some elements such as footage, music, designs, pictures, style references, or just sketches on a napkin we'll take that too.

• How long will my project take?

  A loaded question!  The first step is to figure out what services you need.  Then we factor in any deadlines you may have.  Finally, a customized timeline can be generated. 

• How much will it cost?

  We have hourly rates, day rates, project rates, and service rates. Each one is designed to give you the best  solution for your specific needs and budget.  Not sure which one's best for you?  See below.

• Which type of rate is best for me?

  Hourly rates are best for people who need quick fixes, updates or plan on finishing in  5 hours or less.  Day rates are best for clients who require finishing services or quick editing and need less 3 days to complete their project. Project rates (our favorite) gives you one price to complete your project.  Forget about watching the clock and focus making your project great.  Finally, service rates cover fixed price items like short run DVD duplication.

• What about deposits or payment schedules?

  It depends on your project.  Hourly and daily rates are due at the end of session, while longer project usually follow the 25% deposit at signing - 25% midway project - and 50% upon completion rule.

• How directly do I have to be involved in the creation process?

  We love it when you get involved, after all, it's your project.  We also understand that you're busy and not always able to come in.  We can setup a secure web page for you to check the status of your project and we're never to busy to take your phone call.  

• What about hard drives or storage?

  We'll probably work off of our drives because of speed, but we HIGHLY encourage you to bring your own hard drive in when we're all done to back up your files and take them home for safe keeping. Not sure what kind of hard drive to buy? Most 3TB mac friendly drives can be purchased at your local electronics store for about $150. This should be fine for most projects.
